Kathleen Elsey's painting “Iris after Van Gogh” Sold
20 x 16
This painting was made in Sault, France during my plein air touring there a few years ago. I met lovely woman named Bernadette at her roadside produce stand in the country. She invited me to paint her little iris garden and also introduced me to her daughter. Catherine had a lavender nursery in the back garden of her home. She also welcomed me to her bit of paradise and I continued to paint there. Here is a picture of the painting I did from her little garden, called ”Catherine’s Garden with Chair.” |
