Make Vibrant Paintings in the Studio

We’ll focus on color, composition and concept. You will have the opportunity to paint a simple still life, a move complex still life, an interior scape or a landscape painting. We’ll work in my studio, my courtyard and patio. Below is a typical schedule for this studio painting workshop.

DAY 1
9:00 a.m. Meet at the studio, introductions, slide show, demonstration about setting up and organizing your palette, beginning a painting, planning a composition, get tips on working the paint wet. You’ll begin your first painting.

Noon Lunch break (please bring a sack lunch)

1:00 – 4:30 Continue work on the morning painting or begin a second painting. There will be individual critiques and help at the easel. We’ll end the day with a group critique.
