This painting was made on the last day of the Sedona Plein Air Festival. I was exhausted from painting red rocks all week and wanted to find a cool, peaceful setting to paint. I chose West Fork in the beautiful Oak Creek Canyon. I was amazed by the beautiful trees in their autumn colors as they danced in the wind, dropping their leaves into the creek I was standing above.
