This is the companion painting to "Onions and Garlic", owned by my friends, Christine and Tony Broadbent (author of "The Smoke"-great read). "She knows her onions", Tony says.

In these 2 paintings I was hoping to paint in a more dramatic manner, experimenting with a new palette, different brushwork and a less traditional composition. I like the air in the bottom half of the painting. This was the last painting I did while in Taos, drove home on the 11th and did not paint again for 3 weeks.
