"Peaceful Valley"

This painting was made in July 2000, outside of Taos, New Mexico from Alyce Frank‘s home. I was looking down over the Hondo Valley farmlands. I painted in the morning, before the heat set in, and before the typical 1:00 thunderstorm arrived. This is the first painting of this valley. I continue to visit Taos every year or two and paint this valley again and again. You might like to see "Peaceful Valley with Cows" painted more recently on a painting road trip to Taos.
